It’s really so sad and pathetic, I’m typing this on a word document at school because I have nothing else to do with my time and I don’t have a fourth block and they blocked blogspot at school (I can get into it but you can’t post anything in it, so there’s no point.)
I really didn’t think I would be so emotional about Trot’s coming back here. I was fine, FINE I tell ya until they showed his wife, Kathryn during the pregame ceremonies for them (Jimmy Fund Award, which they totally deserved.) My friend text me to tell me that Kathryn was crying. I didn’t really understand what they did until they showed it on TV, talk about making a girl emo huh? Then seeing his father behind home plate (it’s not a stalker thing to see ONE guy with an Indians hat near home plate, it was a dead give-a-way) I never really thought I could miss a player like Trot and his family.
I LOVED Trot being mic’d up. He was so damn funny and cute at the same time. His little memo to Donny O and Remy was really really funny as hell. “I saw your little dance there, it was sick!” Memo to Trot, it wasn’t exactly a dance, it was an air guitar thing gone wrong, but sure, it’s a Remy dance. “I saw Don Orsillo up on the tumbotron, he looks like he ate 2 or 3 donuts.” Rofl, and how many cookies have YOU had lately Trot? Just kidding. The cute part you wonder? It was probably him asking all the players how their families are. It struck me cute because I’ve never heard a guy ask that. Man I miss Trot, SO SO SO much.
Oh yeah, how that Kevin Youkilis huh? A 20 game hitting streak and for that matter, AN INSIDE THE PARK HOMERUN! Seriously, him of all people? He’s the slowest runner on the team (or one of THE slowest runners beside good ole Dougie.) Gotta love the little argument that he and Dustin got into about who was the fastest runner out of the two of them. Good guys, good guys.
Okay, I can’t be the only one who sees this and from reading SoSH last night, there’s NO way I’m not the only one but. Is it me or does Remy not like Pedroia? He just sounds like he doesn’t by his tone and like blasts him on every little play. I love Remy to death, I mean how can you NOT love our air guitarist, but he just sounds like he really doesn’t like little Dustin. Maybe it’s because he’s a rookie and he has a love affair for Cora, but hey.
It was awesome to see Curt pitch a great game last night! He really needed it and him backing away for Trot to get his ovation shows the character in him. I loved last nights game, I really did. It’s waiting for me to rewatch on DVR when I get home from school today.
How many more days until June 22nd?
