Welcome Back Mr. Trotman!

So today, not only are the Cleveland Indians in town, but so it Trot Nixon, the original dirt dog. I was supposed to be at the game today but due to people, I can't be. It makes me mad that I can't be there, showing my support, but in sense with the love I have with Nixon, it might be a good thing in case things get emotional and I don't cry at Fenway. I concider that a good thing.

Nixon did a lot for this team, not only on the field, but also off the field. He did a lot of charity work and did a lot for kids. He's also probably one of the nicest humans out there but that's not my point.

On the field, he wasnt the best of runners, best of hitters, and best of players but I still love him. I mean my God, I went through the pain of listening to Jon Miller and Joe Morgan last night just to watch his team play, which they won. And everyone knows that he definetly wasn't the healthiest of players (and with having back surgery in December) but he's what we had so, take it or leave it. Of course he's healthy now, I say it's the "curse" the Sox have with former players, but hey it happens.
Now we have JD Drew. I have been a nay sayer on this deal from day one. I've always said we should have just resigned Trot. They're basically the same player and we coulda saved a lot of money by not signing Drew for so much money. He's however OUR RF now, even though I have a grudge to the fact he "stole" Trot's number, so we have to try and support him. I'm not Drew's biggest fan but I support him because a Sox player now.

Oh yeah, did anyone know there's a game tonight. Curt Schilling's pitching against Cliff Lee. I know a LOT of people at the game today and since I can't be there, I totally figured that is what was going to happen. And after a Sox sweep and an Angels sweep of the Yankees yesterday, things can't get much better for this team.
Oh, for you NESN watchers out there, Portland just beat the Reading Phillies, Michael Garicaparra's team with a 4-game sweep. Good for them, it's good to know sucess is all over this team.
I'm trying to clain my blog on a site, so the link is down here.
