KABOOM

Okay, so I was in the middle of writing this entry in word when the power in school went out because we have a huge storm or something on the way, but I think it passed by. So that sucked, I’ll try and remember what I was saying.

So waking up to the fact the Sox lost wasn’t a pretty thing. I wouldn’t mind if it was a blow out or something but it was an EXTRA INNINGS lost. Those hurt the most. I can only imagine why but we can we do. It happens. I guess it was good to hear that Alan Embree is back to his old ways and is blowing saves again =].

I guess I have to send congrats to Mark Ellis for his cycle against us. Just one thing, don’t ever do it again against us okay? Thanks.

(On a side note, I love how I have to keep saving this so I don’t lose it again.)

It was great to see that Dustin got the Rookie of the Month award and the Player of the Week. I wonder how it feels for Remy, even though he says he likes him. I just have a sense in my mind from listening to him he doesn’t really like him. Any who, congrats to him. He deserves it. It was also great to see Papi FINALLY hit a homerun. I thought he had one against the Yankees on Sunday in the bottom of the ninth, but the wind sucks and didn’t let him get it. I blame ARod, because let’s face it, it’s too easy.

You have to give Tito a lot of credit here. He stuck with him when he doing badly. Everyone I know was against it “put Cora in” or “send him back to Pawtucket.” Tito and I must have like the same brain at times because I was always sticking up for him. This is one of the reasons I like Tito better than Grady, other than the fact Grady was a total brainfart who had like no clue what he was doing half the time. Look at game 7 of the ALCS in 2003, but it’s now good times not bad times =].

I’m not a big fan of JD Drew, as you all know, but I’m REALLY not liking this slump that he’s on, it’s sad. Like someone in the Boston Herald said, he’s almost hitting at Elizabeth Hasselback’s weight, which made me laugh, but hey. If he makes any excuses up I might have to hit him with a bat, he might know how to run from it, but he’s JD. Maybe his shoulder is injured and he’s hiding it from the Sox? Who knows? Let’s just hope that this is a really bad slump and it makes me want to have Nixon back.

Pinella got a 4 game suspension (really 5 because he was suspended almost immediately after the game Satruday) for his little fit with an Ump in Chicago, funny stuff if you ask me. It’s weird how so many managers are getting ejected from the game, even our famous Grady got thrown out of a game this weekend too. Weird? Maybe Umps today are both too sensitive today or the plays are just getting too easy to make and they make the wrong guess? Who knows?

I have to say, I love it when the Yankees lose because as a Sox fan, it’s a way of life. It wasn’t Papelbon’s homerun that has saved the Yankees huh? That’s cool to hear, I didn’t want our team to be the reason why the Yankees are saved. They lose their pitcher, Matt DeSalvo, after an inning and 1/3, giving up 2 runs, 4 hits, 1 walk, 1 hit batter, and for that his punishment? Being sent back down to AAA. That sucks to be him, but it wasn’t going to look like he was pitching anytime soon when Clemens does come back to pitch.

Oh yeah, before I finish this entry or book, the manager who went almost out of his mind, Phillip Wellman, was suspended 3 games from the Braves. We can only imagine how many games he’s going to get from the MiLB/MLB.
