Just when I thought I wasn’t going to have to write a blog entry at school today, I do.
The O’s fired Sam Perlozzo. Who didn’t see that coming seriously? I think it all started when we played them and the Mother’s Day Miracle (yes it deserves to be in capitals) and it just tumbled for him because he just kept making the bad moves.
Okay, is this NOT the coolest Father’s Day gift ever? Because I need to get off topic even more than usual today. This is from the Boston Herald.
David Ortiz has a tendency to do everything in grand style, so why should Father’s Day be any different?
Ortiz walked out of his house Saturday and was presented with quite a sight. The first thing he noticed was his lawn, on which Sox head groundskeeper David Mellor created a special design.
Carved out in Ortiz’ front lawn was the message: “We love you daddy.”
Then he saw about 20 different kinds of birds, including eagles, falcons, hawks and owls. Ortiz is a lover of such animals and was treated with the opportunity to command the birds with the help of a falconer’s glove.
“I’ve got some good Father’s Day gifts, but it was cool, very creative,” Ortiz said. “I was psyched.”
While the credit for the gift’s execution goes to his wife Tiffany, the impetus for the day was the couple’s three kids: Jessica, 10, Alexandra, 6, and 2-year-old D’Angelo, who was decked out in his Red Sox uniform at his father’s side throughout yesterday’s pregame.
Not gonna lie, that’s cooler than what my mom and I got my dad!
Off the subject, last day of school is Friday and hanging out with my friend Steven at Burlington Mall afterwards, have to get the cavity fulled tomorrow eek, and have 3 finals. Wish me luck!
