That was a good win for the Sox last night, offense, defense, and pitching came through when we needed it. Even though we had some base running blunders, Tek, it was still a very good night at Turner Field. JD Drew got hurt, but is that seriously new anymore? What shocked me reading what he said was that he was playing THROUGH it. Seriously, what baseball player plays through an injury? Now it’s JD Drew.
Reading this article about Taravez in the Boston Globe, I knew he had a little bit of a family situation with getting custody of his 11 year old son, was it 11? I don’t remember, but oh my squee, he made himself look so cute yesterday. Here is what he said.
“I wasn’t even in the mood to be here today,” said Tavarez after allowing just three hits in an 11-0 rout of the Atlanta Braves. “There’s nothing wrong, it’s just how it is. I’ve been in the major leagues for 12 years, and if a major league ballplayer tells you they want to be in the ballpark every day they’re lying to you because it’s not true. Sometimes you come to the park because you have to."
Oh my, I feel for the guy so much. That really sucks. He’s like everybody else, even if half the time he doesn’t act normal sometimes. Baseball players have days like us, I would say high scholars but that’s not true at all is it? =]?
“I live with myself. I have lived with myself my whole life and a lot of times I want to be with them,” Tavarez said. “I’m sure there are a lot of guys like that, because we travel so much we don’t have a chance to be with our families. It’s different with the married guys because they get to travel with their families all the time. A guy like me, it’s kind of hard because I have to go pick up my kids and bring them around myself and I can’t do that."
Awh, poor Taravez. Living by yourself and being a baseball player? That sucks. It must suck to see the players spending time with their families while it’s just you sitting there by yourself. If I was a player, I’d have my child spend time with him. So the kid might be scared for life? He’ll be happy and he won’t be so scary. His kids are in NY and Cleveland. He’ll get to see at least one of them when we go there.
I just have to say that I'm ALMOST a senior in High School and oh my god, I can't wait =]]]]]. Now it's time to play the Sims2
