Well I should be back in the blogging business. I think I ate some bad chicken yesterday and my stomach hasn't felt the same since. I turned off the TV and went to bed right at the point when Lester gave up the homerun. I wasn't in the mood to watch that.
Then I see on the Boston Herald website "who was the problem of the game" poll. It had Dustin, Manny, Lester, or Timlin. I didn't even WANT to know what happened. So I voted Manny because of him not knowing how to run bases and Timlin was the highest. Again, I didn't even want to know what happened. Turns out that he "blew the game." Colored me shocked? Yeah, not really. Errors may have helped though, so thank God I didn't see that, it wouldn't have been pretty.
Well it's good to see JD Drew back. I may not like him THAT much, I think it's a grudge but, but I do have a heart. If my 17-month-old son had to have BOTH of his hips surgically repeared and hearing my son yelling "daddy daddy daddy" as you're leaving, my heart would tug too. It will be good to seeing him back and seeing his son, Jack, out of those casts soon because I'm sure that it's not fun to be in that.
Oh and one last headesk moment before I leave this entry.
Timlin calmly answered questions at his locker, but as he was leaving the clubhouse with his son, he had a brief but sharp exchange with catcher Jason Varitek, the pitcher saying to Varitek, "Not a word."
Varitek, who had not yet dressed, and Timlin then walked out of the clubhouse and out of earshot.
Oh guys, PLEASE!
